Evening Threshold
The series “Evening Threshold” explores the liminal space between day’s end and the true silence of evening. Drawing from the literal meaning of threshold (door, window, etc) the work also uses light as a boundary - temporary, fragile, vigilant - against the black velvet sky. These nocturnal paintings invite the viewer to pause and reflect on the narratives of what is inside or what has recently departed.
Tapestries of Light
Tapestries of Light is a series of paintings that capture fleeting moments of light within my home. Each piece focuses on a specific vignette—when light filters through the blinds, illuminating an otherwise ordinary corner of a room. These brief, blurred impressions, often seen without my glasses, transform once-occupied spaces into quiet reminders of what once was.
Mill Gut Marsh Series
My current practice is concerned with exploring the changing environment of the Mill Gut Salt Marshes at Colt State Park in Bristol, RI. The dramatic landscapes created by erosion and tides are evidence of an evolving ecosystem. These works document elements of loss, memories and resilience. I’ve create a relationship with this space and I am continuing to learn and research more about its existence.
